(London Diary) - When Everything Feels Hyper-real
I have recently moved to London. It was an almost impulsive decision which doesn’t happen with me often because I like to think things through before I act.
This time, however, it just felt right. I am still riding on that wave of ‘feeling right’ and I also want to document this phase in my life.
In 2009, during my last semester of high school, I decided to study arts instead of languages, which had been my plan for many years. It was a decision almost made on a whim, but it felt right, so I went with it and never regretted it. That first year of art academy has been immortalized on numerous self-portraits I created. They were part coping mechanism and part awe. In short, it was a way of seeing the world and trying to make sense of it.
This is why I am going back to that almost documentary way of presenting myself and my own reality in this moment and place. I will be posting more photos soon!
